We have been working on the process and needs for ISO 9001 certification, an internationally recognized standard that ensures services meet the needs of clients through an effective quality management system. Our decision to work towards ISO 9001 accreditation demonstrates our commitment to providing a high-quality and consistent service to our clients and our ongoing investment in technology, development and processes and procedures. To become ISO 9001 compliant, RAID underwent an evaluation process that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformance, all of which work to identify corrective actions that eliminate non-conformance to the quality management standard. This is really helpful with employee engagement as they are clear on expectations and goals and jointly share in the success of business growth.

RAID Project Services has appointed Dr. Adel Abdulla Almarzooqi as our new General Manager in United Arab Emirates branch. He will be leading our UAE team in all upcoming projects with his excellent experience in various field of business. He has a vast experience in Business development and Project Management in an operational level as well as a team leader all over GCC countries. RAID Project Services will be focusing on Real Estate, Project Management, Facility Management etc and Dr. Adel will guide our team for the successful development of our company in UAE.

We named the office as RAID Projects Services and we will be focusing on Properties Management, Facilities management, Construction works in entire United Arab Emirates. We are considering this as the major milestone in the development of our company since our origin in 2004. Saudi National Day is celebrated in Saudi Arabia on every 23 September to commemorate the name changing of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a royal decree from King Abdulaziz in 1932. It is a National Holiday. The National Day of Saudi Arabia is an opportunity to learn about the work of the King Abdulaziz, how he established the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and what he did to unify a large portion of Arabia. The aim of the celebrations is to introduce the heritage of Saudi Arabia, appreciate the beauty of the country, and promote pride in their country and its rich history. Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and President of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development, stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia s Vision 2030, approved by the cabinet on Monday, constitutes a roadmap for the kingdom s development and economy objectives for the next 15 years. The Council of Ministers has tasked the Council of Economic and Development Affairs with establishing and monitoring the mechanisms and measures necessary for the implementation of “Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030”. The Council established a number of bodies that will enable and support the launching, monitoring, and evaluation of these programs, as well as the release of new programs in the future. These bodies include the National Center for Performance Measurement, the Delivery Unit, and the Project Management Office of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs. As a part of this development RAID Company Ltd. is expanding our areas of operations to various fields to become a part of this Transformation Program.

Saudi Vision adds sustainability to the agenda as it pushes to expand urban development by including prolonged asset lifecycle, lower utility bills & infrastructure to promote physical activity. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud announced “Saudi Vision 2030”. RAID Company strategy is associated with Saudi Vision 2030 and we have started the initial steps from the beginning of 2018. Saudi Vision 2030 is a plan to reduce Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation and tourism. Goals include reinforcing economic and investment activities, increasing non-oil industry trade between countries through goods and consumer products, and increasing government spending on the military, manufacturing equipment and ammunition.

It has over 43,000 operating serviced residence units in key cities of the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as about 30,000 units which are under development, making a total of about 73,000 units in over 500 properties.

Saudi officials have repeatedly stated that they are planning to sell a small stake in Aramco in 2018. If it happens, the sale is expected to be the biggest stock market listing in history. Officials have said they expect an initial public offering to value Aramco at around $2 trillion. If the market agrees, selling just 5% would raise $100 billion. Apart from the exact timing and size of the IPO, Saudi Arabia still has to decide where to list Aramco. The planned sale of up to 5 per cent of Saudi Arabia’s state oil producer could create not only the world’s largest publicly traded energy company but the biggest initial public offering of all time. More than this, however, the move also offers the rest of the world access to one of the kingdom’s prized industries.

Tourists will be able to visit Saudi Arabia for the first time. Prince Sultan bin Salman, head of the Saudi tourism and national heritage commission, declared that the kingdom would issue its first tourist visas in 2018. Visas were previously restricted to people traveling to the country for work or to visit its holy sites. The Kingdom has ambitious plans to grow its tourism industry. It has already announced several projects, including one to build a series of resorts on about 100 miles of the Red Sea's sandy coastline. The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage will announce details about tourist visas by the end of Q1 of the current fiscal, after the approval by the commission’s board of directors, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Saudi Ministry of Finance said that it will introduce a monthly expat levy as of 2018. The monthly tax will range between 300 and 400 SAR, adding that the levy will be paid by private sector companies and it aims to replace foreign laborers with locals. The ministry said last year that the levy will increase to 600 SAR in 2019 and to 800 SAR in 2020 in private companies which hire more foreigners than locals and in companies where the number of foreign employees is less than that of locals, the levy will be 300 SAR in 2018. It will gradually increase until it reaches 700 SAR in 2020. Introduction of expat dependent tax and introduction of VAT from 2018 are all measures being taken to boost its declining non-oil revenues.

RAID Company Ltd signed agreement with National Commercial Bank (NCB) for their upcoming construction projects all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Being a construction partner of NCB, our construction is ongoing in Dammam since February. We are also in the preliminary stages to start our construction and renovation work in other provinces of Saudi Arabia at the earliest and the discussions are going on with NCB regarding new works. Not only NCB construction but also we are official partners for the sub branches of NCB, that is QuickPay Bank construction throughout the Kingdom.
